Works perfectly for the small time diy’r who doesn’t have a workshop or drill-press. I made some shelves and I only wanted the holes 1/2” deep on a 3/4” board (so I could fit in dowel-rod legs)…worked perfectly just like a charm!

These collars are great. I have several steel versions because I am ever hopeful they will not jam or break. These aluminum ones seem to have more give so they slide well on the drill bit but then tighten down very well and hold. I plan to buy another set because many times I need multiples of the same size.
