Handle on Door Installation

Simple instruction for installing handles on a cabinet door using the TP-1934 Cabinet Hardware Jig

Place hardware to find position you like

Measure door from bottom, mark position with pencil

Measure door from side

Measure hole centers of hardware

Transfer hardware measurement to the Sliding Drill Guide bushing and tighten

Match bottom measurement with Sliding End Stop and tighten

Match side measurement to Large Stop and tighten

Position tool as shown, drill through the fixed center bushing for bottom hole

Drill through top Sliding Drill Guide bushing for top hole

Reverse tool position onto opposite door and drill holes

Handle on Drawer Front

Simple instruction for installing knobs on a drawer front using the TP-1934 Cabinet Hardware Jig

*Use this method if you do not have the TP-ERA

Measure hardware hole spacing

Attach two Sliding Drill Guides onto the TP-1934 using the same measurements

Tighten Sliding Drill Guides into position, cover the center bushing with tape to avoid accidentally drilling

Center on drawer front and drill holes

Knob On Door Installation

Place hardware to find desired position

Measure from bottom, mark position with pencil

Measure from side

Match the Sliding End Stop with your bottom measurement and tighten

Match Large Stop to side measurement and tighten

Position tool with stops as shown and drill hole through drill bushing

Reverse tool position onto opposite door and drill

Knob on Drawer Front

Measure drawer front width to find center

Mark center on top of drawer

Measure side of drawer for center

Adjust Large Stop to match side measurement

Line up notch on center of Large Stop with center mark at top of drawer, then push and hold tool flush against drawer face

Large Handle On Wide Drawer Front

Simple instruction for installing large handles on a drawer front with the TP-1934 Cabinet Hardware Jig + Extension Set + TP-ERA

Method for centering a long pull on a drawer – line up center of one hole with edge of drawer

Measure from left of drawer to center of left hole on hardware. Set the Sliding End Stop on the TP-ERA to half the measurement.

Mark selected drill bushing with tape on the Extension (Extension Bars included with TP-2312, TP-1935)

Adjust Sliding End Stop to the desired distance from the marked bushing

Lay the pull alongside the jig, align hardware hole with taped hole

Mark the opposite Extension Bar hole with tape

Measure height of drawer, use half the amount for center

Set the Large Stop and tighten at desired location

Hold stops firm against top and side of drawer

Drill the holes

Using the TP-ERA Extended Ruler Attachment

Use the Extended Ruler Attachment for quickly repeating settings

Align each ruler at the 5″ mark to extend the length of the ruler to 17″

Measure drawer width

Set Sliding End Stop to half the drawer width

Now you are ready to drill an entire drawer bank

Large Handles on Tall Doors

Simple instruction for installing handles on tall doors using the TP-1934 Cabinet Hardware Jig + Extension Set + TP-ERA

Use the TP-1934 with Extension Bars and the TP-ERA

Slide the Extension Bars onto the TP-1934

Tighten thumb screws

Measure hardware hole spacing

Position hardware by hand to find desired placement, mark the position of bottom hole

In our example we are setting the first measurement to 3-1/2″ from the bottom

And 1-3/8″ from the side edge of the door

Adjust the Sliding End Stop on the TP-ERA to 3-1/2″ from the bottom hole

Match the bottom hole on hardware to bottom hole on Extension Bar and mark with tape

Match top hole on hardware to matching hole on Extension Bar

Mark hole location with tape

Adjust Large Stop to 1-3/8″ to match the measurement from side edge

Hold side and bottom stops against door, drill bottom hole

Drill top hole

Reverse tool for opposite door and repeat drilling holes

Line Boring for Shelf Pins

Simple instruction for drilling shelf pin holes using the TP-1934 Cabinet Hardware Jig + Extension Set

Measure and mark desired location

Join TP-2312 and TP-1934, adjust to desired length and tighten thumb screws

*Optional – Mark your holes with tape for reference

Drill front holes

Remove Large Stop and press thumb screws against back panel, then drill back holes

Perfectly spaced holes every time

Drilling Hinge Holes

Mark the center of hinge holes

Set Stop Collar to drill depth

Tighten drill Stop Collar

Set two Sliding Drill Guides side by side, lining up center line with your mark

Tip – Sliding Drill Guides produce industry standard 32mm spacing when placed side by side
